THE UNFORGIVABLE SIN

Is there really an unforgivable sin? There is.

Don't you think it would be important for you to know if there was a sin that, if you committed it, you could not be forgiven for committing it? There actually is such a sin, but do you remember any minister or priest ever telling you about it and explaining what it is? It has become popular in these modern, sinful times, for church leaders to just leave out whatever might cause discomfort and fear. Many have never even questioned this fundamental of Christianity because they fear to know what it actually is.

God's Revolutionary Church will not deceive you, or keep from you the things you need to know and obey to save your soul. That is why the word "Revolutionary" is in our name, to signal that we are reestablishing God's truth according to Scripture and inspiration from God. So, understand it is vital that all those who seek God, must, therefore, seek the truth, and, therefore, must know and understand THE UNFORGIVABLE SIN.

Matthew, Mark and Luke all speak of it. This is a very important fundamental principle of Christianity, yet, like many other areas that modern church leaders have avoided, they have avoided this as well. Perhaps because they do not understand it themselves, or, perhaps, because they realize people do not want to hear about a sin for which they could not be forgiven, they skim over these verses, as if they meant nothing, if they touch on them at all. You should question the validity of those churches you have been attending if they have not stressed the importance of knowing about this unforgivable sin.

Matt 12:31-32
31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: (This is where most Christian Learders like to end, without really covering what immediately follows, which is) but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

When I speak about these and the other Scriptures that address this important aspect of Christianity, most people's jaws drop in amazement. Most, who have spent many, many years dedicated to their religion, shutter at the thought that they were never made aware of this, and become in a somewhat suspended animation, waiting to hear if this is a sin they may have already committed. Rightly so, they often feel a deep sense of betrayl.

As for church leaders, they, too, hold their breath as they realize the truth that they have never covered, or even questioned others about this important subject. This should have never have been the case.

God is angry at those who have, and are continuing to mislead his people. In these modern times, we are being punished for our reluctance to seek his truth. If we don't seek the truth, we cannot obey God, and that is what the God of the Bible wants from us: to love him, and to do this, we must obey him. That is how we show we love him.

To understand what these passages mean, it is important to know that the Holy Ghost goes by other names as well. One of those is, and the one with, perhaps, the most significant meaning is the Spirit of Truth. Important also is the understanding that the Holy Ghost will provide wisdom to those who sincerely ask. That wisdom helps us differntiate between what is wrong and what is right, good and just. We can invite him to be with us, to guide us or we can pass up the benefits of the wisdom he can provide. Keep this in mind.

We see from this Scripture that we can speak against Christ "the Son of man" and still be forgiven, yet "the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven": Why is this so?

Sincere sutdents of the Holy Bible, have read over and over again of the importance of the truth to God. When one speaks against the Spirit of Truth he speaks against that which God created to help us lead honorable lives. When the Holy Ghost (The Spirit of Truth) helps us know the truth, yet we speak against that truth anyway, such great harm occurs to so many in so many ways, causing needless pain, misery and suffering, when it could have been avoided by our simple admission of the truth, that anyone guilty of concealing or hindering or confounding that truth has cooperated in a grave injustice that could have been avoided had they only not hindered the knowable truth of God. With this understanding, we can begin to see why this is the UNFORGIVABLE SIN.

[DON'T JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS JUST YET as to whether you have already committed the unforgivable sin. There is more to understand. Even sin is often a matter of degree.]

Speaking against what we know to be the truth is always a very serious spiritual matter. Exactly when it reaches to the level of unforgivability is up to God. Any wise individual would not even want to approach speaking against the truth in such a way that he would be in danger of committing the unforgivable sin, and the only way to make sure we do not commit the unforgivable sin is to never speak or act against what we know to be the truth.

God chooses, at this point in time, not to be more specific than this, yet has made it clear that speaking against the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Truth, is unforgivable in this world and the world to come, and he will judge at just what point it becomes unforgivable.

It is one thing to speak a lie and another to speak against the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Truth. Just as it is one thing to say you did not take that pencil, and another, when someone said they saw you take that pencil, for you to speak against that truth, essentially saying he who spoke the truth is a liar. Anytime you know the truth and do not acknowledge it you are in great spiritual danger. We know, from scripture, that minor untruths can be forgiven. There are times, however, when you know the truth of a matter and someone speaks (through the power of the Spirit of Truth) and reveals the truth that would insure that the right and just thing would be done, saving the innocent from injustice, pain and suffering that would take place if the truth were not spoken; and, if, at that point, you speak against that truth, making it appear to be a lie, resulting in grave injury to innocent others, then that action of speaking against that Spirit of Truth, or failing to speak rightfully in support of it, the line between the forgivable and an unforgivable sin may well be crossed. Read that again.

If we avoid speaking against what we know to be the truth (made known through the Spirit of Truth), in any way; we avoid coming anywhere close to committing that UNFORGIVABLE SIN. This can all be very scary for those who want to be with God. But, remember, God tells us to fear him, and if you fear committing the unforgivable sin, that fear can help you be the person God wants and commands you to be.

Mark 3:28-29:
28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:

29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.

Luke 12:10:
10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

Now you can take this information and do what you want with it. It is up to you; but only a fool would NOT pay attention to those who give information that may help you save your soul. Even to fail to acknowledge to others from whom you received this information may violate this principle of speaking against what you know to be the truth. So pass this along by having those you know come to this site, to read for themselves about the UNFORGIVABLE SIN.

It is well worth remembering that Satan is the father of the Lie, and, all evil untruth comes from the Evil One and those who choose to follow him.

To make sure you don't fall under the influence of that Evil One, stay in contact with us through this site for more about how you can make sure you have a place reserved for you in the presence of God. Remember, bringing others to God's truth may cover many of our other sins. Don't forget to ask the Spirit of Truth to help you gain the courage to always seek and understand God's truth.
