THE DUTY TO DEFEND
God’s Revolutionary Church is grounded in the Fundamental Christian principles of (First) Loving God with our whole heart, whole soul, whole mind, AND, (Second) Loving our Neighbor as ourself.
Matthew 22:35-40
35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Therefore, because the first (Loving God) is demonstrated and fulfilled, to a great extent, by adhering to the second (Loving your neighbor as yourself), we recognize, that, to Love God, we must treat our neighbor as we wish to be treated. This is a primary and fundamental command from God and a mandatory requirement of faithful membership.
[Of course, it is important to understand who your neighbor really is.]
In recognition of the fact that none of us wish to be victimized, we are commanded, from God, and, therefore, required, to help others keep from being victimized. In recognition of scripture which indicates that the weak are subject to victimization, we must seek to help good people be strong, and stay strong, able to fight off evil.
PROVERBS 24:5-12
5 A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.
Mark 3:27
27 No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
MATTHEW 12:28-30
28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
Therefore, it is a fundamental principle of God’s Revolutionary Church of Willing Seekers, Servants and Souldiers and of Christianity to teach to our family and our neighbors (and always remain mindful of this ourselves), about our responsibility to become and remain strong, so that we may defend the righteous against the evil.
PROVERBS 24:10-12
10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.
11 If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain;
12 If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?
At the same time, we must love the evildoers by offering them, if possible, the opportunity to shed their wrongdoing and become servants and souldiers for God by doing good.
However, when evildoers decide to continue their evil doing, we are required, by commandment and faith, to prevent, to the best of our ability, the evildoer from successfully completing his evil deeds and victimizing the innocent.
To help most effectively accomplish this, all responsible, mature members must learn how to use the tools of such defense, including, but not limited to, firearms, and keep such tools of defense readily available to most successfully deter and defeat those evildoers who are set on harming the innocent.
This is consistent with the expressed purposes of all honorable governments and societies. It helps keep the good people from being unjustly preyed upon by the bad, and is the duty of every rational, responsible, honorable human being, and we know this because every rational, responsible, honorable human being wants such good people to render effective aid to them, capable of deterring any attacker about to cause them harm. This is a religious responsibility of our faith, to defend the innocent, the poor, the needy, and to do this, we must have effective tools readily available to do so.
To those who may believe we must offer our life to the wicked by standing helplessly between the wicked and the righteous, it is a grave misunderstanding of scripture to lay down your life only to have the wicked become successful at harming the innocent, when you could have acquired and used effective means of stopping that injustice.
Therefore, to clarify, God's Revolutionary Church requires that all mature, responsible, mentally and physically capable members must, whenever possible, have the means, as readily available as possible, to defend the innocent against the evil.
PROVERBS 25:26
26 A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain, and a corrupt spring.
Keep this in mind if anyone tries to prevent you, a good person, from possessing the means of effectively defending yourself and innocent others. This is not only a religious right, it is a religious duty required by God.
Remember, God requires us to preach the truth, therefore, we must speak to others about the evil of being prevented from defending the innocent. If we fail to do this, we will be held responsible for the evil that comes about from the good people being defenseless. The truth matters to God and matters, one way or another, to us.
