OBEDIENCE

Most concisely, this is all God demands —obedience.

Obedience, a word for something most people do not want demanded of them, yet, when they are in-charge they demand that everyone obey. Most of us understand, to some degree, the importance of obeying. Even though we do, most of us still look for ways to escape the responsibility of obeying others even though we know we are under their authority.

Order is impossible without Obedience. This means, without obedience there is no order and without order there is chaos, and chaos is the playground of disorder, injustice, pain, suffering and misery.

Is there any wonder why God demands Obedience? Yet, even though this is among the most important things to God, we, often: resist, disobey and go about doing things the way we wish, not the way God commands. How bold we are. Do we really think we can get away with telling God his commands and ways mean nothing to us?

Modern preachers seldom emphasize the important of Obedience to God, to the extent they should. Instead, our preachers are pretty easy on us. Do we really think God will be as easy on us if we refuse to do as he says?

If we believe in the Holy Bible and the instruction it provides, and if we are honest with ourselves, we know how important our Obedience is to God — Not a little Obedience but complete Obedience. A little obedience is no obedience at all.

God's Revolutionary Church exists because God wants you to know just how important your Obedience is to God. When we disobey, we sin. When we sin, we separate ourselves from God. It is something WE do. We choose to separate ourselves; it is an act of our failure to obey that causes that separation. Luckily, God can forgive sin. But, what most people do not realize is that the offer of forgiveness comes with conditions. Feeling sorry is great, but without a commitment to obey from then on, God, according to Scripture, will turn his back on us and will not hear us.

John 9:31

31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

Psalm 66:18:

18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

Isaiah 1:15

15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

Isaiah 59:2

2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Jeremiah 7:16

16 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.

Jeremiah 11:11

11 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them.

Jeremiah 11:14

14 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.

Micah 3:4

4 Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings.

As you can see, Scripture shows us that God will not hear those who will not obey him. Only if we change our evil ways will God, then, listen to our pleas.

This comes as a shock to many. They are shocked because people have always told them that God will always be there for them, that they can always go to him and he will answer their prayers, and always forgive them. Let's, again, look at Scripture and see if you still think God will hear you if you continue to refuse to do things his way. In this verse, Joshua is speaking to those who continue to follow idols and their own desires. This also applies to us if we value things more than God and continue to do things our way instead of God's way.

Joshua 24:19

19 And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the LORD: for he is an holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.

While God will not forgive us if we continue to do evil, if we do as God commands, Scripture reveals, God will be there for us; but Scripture also tells us that if we do not do as God commands he will not hear us. Too often, church leaders incorrectly advise that God will always be there for us no matter what we do. It is only by our willingness to turn away from our sin that we can get God's attention, to help us through life. Likewise, Christ, too, can help us reunite with God, but not if we continue to disobey. If we are not willing to turn away from our sin and correct our ways, God is NOT willing to hear.

The truth is, when we refuse to obey God (or even those he places in authority over us) he recognizes our choice to follow his arch-enemy, Satan, as we choose to become his evil follower.

God commands us not to just do SOMETHING with the life he gives us, but to do what he says is right to do with the life he gives us. You can't do it right if you refuse to be in Obedience to God.

As for women, it is important for you to know that, like it or not, God has commanded that men in your life (your father, your husband), shall be in authority over you. It is vital for you to understand: God's Order is that you shall be ruled over by, yes, certain men.

Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

[In some translations the words are translated to "...and he shall be your master."]

1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Ephesians 5:

22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

If you are a Christian woman, you understand that Christianity is based in large part, or, for some, completely on the Bible. Our instruction is found in the Bible. For anyone to follow the God of the Bible, he or she must obey God. Therefore, because God has commanded it, Christian women MUST obey their husbands. There is no 50/50 arrangement in true Christianity. To obey God requires that you obey your husband. Just as men who choose to follow God have no choice but to obey Christ, women have no choice but to obey their husband. This is commanded by God. It is his ORDER that counts. Just as Christ is our leader as men, your husband is your leader according to God's ORDER.

Modern society, and even modern churches have ignored this command, and have actually acted to undermine this command of God. There should be no wonder why our families are being destroyed at record rates. If you, as a woman, choose to follow God's Order, you must obey your husband. Just as a servant who willingly serves his master has no choice but to do as his master says, you, too, if you are to willingly serve God, have no choice but to obey your husband. That is why it is very important that men understand that God not only places them in charge, but will, also, hold them accountable for their behavior and the behavior of their wives and children.

Modern society has produced leaderless families, a guaranteed recipe for disaster, and a means for manipulation by Satan. Without the God ordained head of the family in full authority, Satan and his followers will take over that leadership and lead that family to hell.

Even the Catholic Church has allowed the removal from marriage ceromonies the vow for women to obey their husband. This act, often never even noticed by many, moves the long held cherished religious ceremomy (including this most fundamental command for the family) into the rehelm of a civil agreement devoid of any mention of God's order for the most basic human society —the family. If there is a way for Satan to suceed, this is the way; and he is winning, aided by the very people who supposedly vow to defeat him.

More important than all the prayers you could ever say; more important than every sacrifice you ever thought to make; more important than these is to do what God wants and demands —your OBEDIENCE. If we will obey, we can and will become perfect in God's eyes, and we know we can become perfect, because he tells us to be perfect.

Genesis 17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

Deuteronomy 18:13 Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.

1 Kings 8:61 Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.

1 Chronicles 28:9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

2 Chronicles 19:9 And he charged them, saying, Thus shall ye do in the fear of the LORD, faithfully, and with a perfect heart.

Job 1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Luke 6:40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.

2 Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

2 Timothy 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

We hope you will continue to join us to learn more about what God does expect from you.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

We will be continuing to discuss more about this most fundamental of commands from God.
